Open Mornings at the National Horseracing College (NHC) are designed for parents, guardians, potential learners, and career advisors to find out more about the NHC and the wide range of courses available.
Our Open Mornings start at 10.15am and finish at approximately 1pm. We ask for all visitors to register by 10am at the Visitor Centre, which is located on the left down the lane to the National Horseracing College main site. During the event, visitors will learn more about the 12-week residential Foundation Course, meet the horses and the instructor team, tour the college facilities, watch learners riding on the gallops (weather permitting), watch a demonstration on the racing simulators and hear from current learners about their experience at the NHC.
We advise that visitors wear suitable footwear and clothing as the majority of the tour will take place outdoor and our paths/walking areas are very muddy and wet in the colder months, wellies or walking boots are recommended. Dogs are not permitted. Please be aware that the format of the day may vary.
During Covid lockdown, we produced a large variety of Virtual Open Mornings. To view these video recordings, head over to our Facebook page. You can also view previous videos on ourĀ YouTube Channel.
