On Wednesday 29th April 2020 we will be celebrating our 31st Annual National Horseracing College Charity Race Day at Pontefract Racecourse and it would be fantastic to have your organisation on board as a sponsor for this momentous day.
As you may be aware, National Horseracing College (NHC) is a Centre of Training Excellence for the horseracing industry. Significantly changing the lives of young people as they start their racing career, with 46% from deprived backgrounds, the majority aged 16 – 18, there are 96% of graduates go on to employment in racing. NHC provide courses for existing racing staff to develop their careers, working closely with the industry to provide a valuable service to ensure there is an excellent supply of trained, skilled people into horseracing.
NHC appreciates the valuable sponsorship provided at previous events and we would welcome your support for the 31st Annual National Horseracing College Charity Race Day at Pontefract racecourse.
With some investment from the racing industry and government sources, additional funding through commercial avenues remains an ongoing priority. Our success at the grass roots of the sport would not have been possible without the generous support of companies such as yours. Money raised from the charity race day will go directly into urgent upgrading of facilities and vital equipment for students.
On the race day itself, each race will be named after the sponsor companies, in appreciation of their contribution. Our target is a minimum donation of £5,000 per race. In addition, Sponsors provide a minimum cash prize of £50 to the stable staff responsible for the best-turned-out horse.
Pontefract is covered by the racing media on that day, which affords good promotional possibilities. The racecourse will make available up to 10 complimentary badges, the named race, an advert in the race card and two advertising banner sites for each race sponsored. The NHC marketing team will provide consistent promotion prior to, and throughout the event.
