Yesterday she took a whistle-stop trip to Qatar, West Asia to ride her first winner outside Europe. This afternoon, barely 24 hours after taking off from London Heathrow Airport she returned to take three rides at Lingfield which resulted in a winner, a second and a third. This evening she received the much-coveted, “Lady Jockey of the Year Award” at The Lesters, the annual Jockey Award ceremony.
Hollie Doyle is no stranger to success. Earlier this month she broke the previous record for the number of winners ridden by a female jockey in a year and she hasn’t stopped yet. On winner 112 (the previous record was 107) she’ll be in action at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day; there are no race meetings now in the UK until Boxing Day, and at the all-weather tracks every day until the curtain comes down on 2019 on New Year’s Eve.
In July 2015 Hollie completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship at the National Horseracing College. To date, she has ridden 264 British winners. This year alone she has amassed over £1M in total prize money.
