All at The National Horseracing College are saddened deeply to learn of the death of long-standing Trustee, Howard Wright. As a native of Doncaster and highly respected racing journalist, he joined the Board in 1990, just six years after the College first opened its gates. Throughout the subsequent years he provided energetic support and used his extensive network of racing connections, at home and abroad, to promote the College and its work. He was a reliable source of wise counsel to several chairmen, fellow Trustees, leaders and staff for more than three decades. In 2004 he became Vice Chairman and continued to be active, attending almost every quarterly meeting in person until very recently. His insightful observations, incisive but always constructive questions and commitment to our cause will be missed greatly. We extend our sincere condolences to his wife Anne and their daughters.
