Danny, 19, graduated from the 12-week, residential Foundation Course on Friday (17 January) and this evening (19 January) he is settling into his new life in Wantage, Oxfordshire ahead of starting his work placement at Harry Whittington Racing.
Irish born Danny completed the Foundation Course as a Yard Person and prior to starting had no experience of working with or handling horses.
In this short interview Danny shares with us the differences between being a rider and a non-rider and what he is looking forward to as he starts a new chapter in his life. Danny has been an asset to course 20:03. He has embraced all that he has been asked to do and with a smile on his face and a spring in his step. He has applied himself and in doing so has developed the skills and competencies a racehorse trainer requires in a member of their racing staff team. Danny has a lovely, easy-going way with horses.
We wish Danny the very best of luck and look forward to catching up with him in a couple of months when we visit Oxfordshire.
