Default

Stewart started working in the horseracing industry in 1976, as an Apprentice jockey to Harry Wragg.  He then went on loan as a professional flat jockey to David Nicholson returning to Geoff Wragg as an Assistant Trainer.  Stewart then moved to Julie Cecil’s yard as Travelling Head Lad and when she retired, he went to Michael Stoute as Work Rider. From there he started at the National Horseracing College as a Training Instructor and assessor.  He left the National Horseracing College to become a dual-licence Racehorse Trainer. When he retired from training, he went on to work as an Estate Manager before returning to the National Horseracing College as Grounds Maintenance in 2024.
