Roving Tutor
Saranna spent her early years on the back of a horse, at the Pony Club, in the Hunting field or riding Point to Pointers.
She went on to work in racing yards as a work rider, in flat and national hunt yards. This led her to become an Assistant to Martin Pipe for a short time, it was there that she met her husband, and we went on to have a family.
Saranna worked at DEFRA as an Animal Health Officer for a couple of years before returning to racing, and then spent the next ten years with Venetia Williams as a work rider. After a few years, she took the opportunity to develop a health and wellbeing business whilst still riding out in the mornings. In 2017 a friend approached her about an opportunity to help develop the Racing degrees at Hartpury, where she spent the next seven years as a Racing lecturer.
“The National Horseracing College gives me the chance to utilise my passion for racing, whilst supporting the future generation of racing staff in an incredible industry, that can boast global career opportunities.”
