Natalie Joined the NHC as a Training Instructor in 2021.
Natalie started her career in the horseracing industry in 2012 when she was appointed as Head Groom at a Point-to-Point yard. This job offered variety and allowed her to partake in trail hunting and exercising the horses who ran under the Rules of Racing. Progression to Work Rider for licensed Yorkshire trainer, Mark Walford followed.
In 2014 Natalie turned her interest to stud work, breaking and pre-training National Hunt horses. Her duties also included grooming for the Quorn Hunt. Her interest in breeding continued with employment on a flat stud where she was involved in foaling and producing yearlings for the sales ring.
Shortly before joining the NHC Natalie was a freelance groom, working in many disciplines, including riding out for South Yorkshire trainer, Peter Winks.
Natalie has a strong equine background and a wealth of knowledge, both in and out of racing, which the NHC learners draw upon.
