Lyndsey is new to the National Horseracing College, joining the roving team in June 2024. She is a qualified Level 2 Racing Coach, holds a Level 3 in Racehorse Care and Management and also has a Foundation Degree in Equine Management.

Lyndsey has spent over 20years in the horseracing industry starting out by completing work experience for trainer James Unett while she was still at school. She loved it that much that she applied for the 12-week residential Foundation Course at the NHC. Following the completion of her NVQ level1 she joined trainer Ian Williams where she continued her qualifications and completed her NVQ level 3 and Advanced Apprenticeship. Whilst still working at the yard she also completed a Foundation Degree in Equine Management at Wolverhampton University.

Lyndsey worked for Ian Willliams for 20 years having various job roles from work rider to 2nd Travelling Head Girl. During her time there she was very lucky to ride and look after Royal Ascot winner The Grand Visir and Ebor runner up Alfre Boucher. Both will always hold a special place in her heart.

Lyndsey has gained a lot of knowledge and Experience whilst working in the racing industry and feels passionate about supporting and sharing this with the learners at the college.

One of Lyndsey’s greatest achievements to date is winning The Rider/Groom Godolphin Thoroughbred Award in 2024. She still hasn’t quite got over the shock of being nominated never mind winning this prestigious award!

In her spare times Lyndsey enjoys being “dance mom” to her son Alfie, regularly attending dancing events and competitions.
