James joined the National Horseracing College in 2024 as a Grounds Maintenance Operative and had no experience with racehorses or even horses for that matter. He picked up all aspects of the job and was promoted to Lead Grounds Maintenance not long after joining the team.
James has a passion about all things tractors and machinery, having worked with tractors and heavy plant for most of his life this is very advantageous in his role.
James is committed to creating a safe environment to work with not only for himself and his team, but for all those at the college too.
