Amelia grew up around horses and a passion for horseracing that runs through the family. Growing up, she was a member of the Pony Club and competed at National level in eventing and showjumping. Amelia owns two former racehorses and regularly takes part in dressage, showing and showjumping competitions, many through Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), winning a National Champion title at the RoR National Championships at Aintree.
Her passion for the horseracing industry runs in her family, one of her brothers, a former jump jockey, is a Racehorse Trainer, the other a farrier and her sister is a former General Manager of a Racecourse. Her Husband is a Clerk of the Course.
Amelia’s career on a racecourse began at the age of 18, as the Stable Manager at Market Rasen Racecourse for over 9 years, the youngest Stable Manager in the UK at that time, and in her early career she has also enjoyed roles at Doncaster Racecourse including Operations and a member of the Grounds Team.
Amelia joined the National Horseracing College Marketing Team in April 2019.
