At any one time, the National Horseracing College will be home to over 40 ex-racehorses. Their owners donate or loan them to the College knowing that they will get five-star treatment and accommodation.
They are an essential resource in the preparation of young people to go into the racing industry. One of the biggest benefits for horses coming out of training is that life at the college is really very similar to the regime that they have experienced on the yards they come from, which enables them to settle in very quickly.
